Position Description
The Recognition & Reporting Coordinator will support the work of our Presidential Societies program and our Individual Stewardship program.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
(40%) Support of the Individual Stewardship reporting function
- Review and update list of donors who will receive annual and semi-annual endowment reports
- Organize and verify endowment and expendable financial data
- Share with s/c/u stewardship officers and gift officers names of donors receiving endowment reports
- Produce annual and semi-annual endowment reports
- Coordinate both in-house and mail-house endowment report mailings
- Generate ad-hoc endowment fund and donor financial status requests and cumulative giving histories
(30%) Support of the Presidential Societies Program
- Manage and execute Business Objects reports including: weekly reports for donor level change, weekly welcome letter reports, data entry proofing reports
- Assist in communications with gift officers regarding donor level changes and memento distribution
- Prepare and print welcome packet materials
- Assist in other aspects of program administration as needed
(20%) Copy-Editing and Writing Support for the Stewardship Team
- Provide copy-editing on all documents generated by the stewardship department. This includes, but is not limited to; acknowledgment letters drafted for the President and Vice President, reports to donors and drafting and editing content for the stewardship on-line presence.
(10%) Projects/Tasks as Assigned
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficient with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Considerable knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of writing and editing.
- Experienced PC user, knowledge of MS Office Suite 2007 preferred (Word, Excel, Outlook familiarity with PowerPoint a plus).
- Detail oriented, strong communication skills.
- Discretion when dealing with highly sensitive information.
- Ability to set priorities; handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and to display excellent judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of UM Development systems, including Donor and Constituent database (DAC), DART, Business Objects, WebNow (ROI) a plus.
