Dear friends,

As the Director of the Center for Armenian Studies (CAS) at the University of Michigan, I write to thank you for your support and continued interest in the future of Armenian Studies in the Midwest. CAS was established through the vision of the Manoogian family, and therefore has a close and important relationship with the Armenian community of metro Detroit. Given the uncertainties and challenges we are now facing in higher education, will you make a gift today to support the center?

We at CAS invest deeply in the next generation of Armenian Studies young scholars, students, and enthusiasts. Our mission is to nurture students and early-career scholars where they are, and whatever their future career goals may be. We recognize that an enriching education also happens outside the classroom, and flexible funding provides crucial support for the center to offer engaging public programming, cultural events, collaborations with prominent scholars, and meet the emerging needs of the center.

For these reasons, I am asking for your donations to support the CAS Strategic Fund. With the rising costs and challenges of higher education today, we want to ensure that every student interested in learning about Armenian history, culture, and politics has the chance to attend programming that excites them and engage with the broader community. We’re grateful for your generous contributions and ongoing support.

We invite you to join us for our lectures, exhibitions, and workshops to see the vibrant environment of learning that your generosity helps sustain. You can learn more on our website: ii.umich.edu/armenian.

Yours sincerely,
