Dear friends and donors,
Greetings from the Nam Center for Korean Studies. As the seat of Korea-related research, education, and public outreach at the University of Michigan, we are committed to supporting cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, cultivating historically situated knowledge, and facilitating nuanced conversations about Korea's traditions and transformations within the U‑M community and beyond.
We are looking forward to another academic year of robust programming at the center. Some highlights of this year's programming will include a collaboration with Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, an ambassadors’ dialogue featuring US Ambassador Philip Goldberg and Korean Ambassador Cho Hyundong, an international conference on migration in and from Korea, and a history project on Koreans at the University of Michigan. Find out more about these and other happenings at the center on our website.
We hope that you would consider supporting the Nam Center in continuing to build "Korean Studies with a Michigan Difference." Your generosity to our Strategic Fund will contribute to building a Korean studies program at the University of Michigan that leads the nation.
Thank you for making a Michigan difference in Korean studies.
Sincerely,
Youngju Ryu
Director, Nam Center for Korean Studies
