Fred Ormand Endowed Scholarship Fund ‑ 702243

The Fred Ormand Scholarship Fund has been established by his family to honor his 23 year teaching career at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. He began teaching at Michigan in 1984, retiring in 2007. His dedication to teaching and to his students was much admired. During his time in Ann Arbor, he attracted students from all over the world. He was, himself, a proud alumnus of the school. This scholarship has been established in his memory to offer young musicians the same opportunities at Michigan for which he was so grateful.
