Science, Technology & Society Strategic Fund ‑ 303734

The U-M Science, Technology, and Society Program seeks to address some of the most urgent challenges of modern life by bridging the “two-cultures” divide separating the STEM fields from humanities/social sciences. Through teaching and research, U-M STS challenges both students and faculty to continually examine the roles science, technology, and medicine play in various societies as well as how those societies shape the development of STM. Contributions to the STS Strategic Fund will support this mission by helping us grow our vibrant, interdisciplinary, cross-campus community through faculty and student-led symposia, international conferences, and graduate student career development opportunities. It provides us the flexibility to expand our portfolio of activities, including augmented curricular offerings for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as pre- and post-doctoral fellowships.
